It is very fascinating to watch the night sky and observing the objects present over there and one can find the events that are happening in the night sky on space and within universe by knowing the phenomena occurs in every month in a year.
There are some important astronomical phenomena happening during the entire month of September. Let us discuss on these exciting events.
September 02 :- Full Moon day
On 2nd September, we can see the
fully illuminated moon which will be on the opposite side of the Earth.
It is well known as corn moon or harvest
moon by early native American people because it occurs when corn is harvested
on this time of the year.

September 06 :- Occultation [ Moon and Mars conjuction ]
Moon and Mars both come very closer on 6th
September and Mars will slip behind Moon which is Moon-Mars conjunction. The
Moon will pass in front of Mars called lunar occultation. The Moon and Mars
will make a close approach at same time which we called appulse.
Local Time-4:44-4:46 UTC (10:14-10:16 IST)
OCCULTATION :-
This is a phenomena when an object hidden behind another object
while passing through it due to the orbital motion of both the objects.

September 11 :- Opposition of Neptune
On 11 september of this year the 8th planet Neptune reaches opposition and it is 180° from the Sun. In this astronomy event, Neptune will become opposite to sun and closer to Earth.
Local Time- 11:00 UTC
OPPOSITION :-
This is an astronomical event in which any planet beyond Earth’s
orbit is near opposition, the planet comes closer to Earth at that time and the
planet shines bright and visible in the sky.

September 14 :-Moon-Venus Conjunction
The conjunction between Moon and Venus will
appear on 14th of this month.
So be ready to witness this amazing event in
which one of the hot brightest planet Venus with another cool brightest object Moon will shine
brightly in the night sky.

September 17 :- New Moon
Moon appears in different distinct phases when
it orbits around the Earth. New Moon is one of the primary phase in which moon
will be on the same side of Earth and the sun and it will not visible in the
night sky.
As there is no moonlight, we can observe
star clusters, galaxies and other different faint objects at that time.

September 22 :- Equinox
This is an event in which sun will cross the Earth’s celestial equator and will go from north to south direction (Northern to Southern Hemisphere) and there is a beginning of autumn there.
The sun will rise on east and sets on west and the length and time of day and night are of equal over the world on 22nd September.
Local Time-13:15 UTC
Autumnal equinox :- In Northen Hemisphere, it is called the "FIRST DAY OF FALL".
